Dark and spicy aroma with a thick and unwinding complexity of granular tannins and stinging finish… an absolute powerhouse with layers on layers of intricacies. Tasting notes of dried rose petals, allspice and cake finish alone can’t fully describe. — 3 months ago
paired with caramelized shallot and apple kiwi brie crostini. the caramelized shallot brought a nice hit of smokiness. apple kiwi tartness enhanced the raspberry flavors in the wine. — 4 months ago
13 years young. still has life. Tannins and fruits still doing their job in harmony. Delicious. — 5 days ago
2019 vintage. Not as good as the fantastic 2017 vintage but this is not to be dismissed. Still plenty worthy with the fruit balance and the structure. 2017 had an extra, little tannic oomph. Maybe this grabs onto that, maybe it doesn't. Regardless, delicious on the usual Zena Crown Vineyard terms. Leaner and somewhat meaner. 5.1.24. — a month ago
We had the 2016 Vintage on 5/12-13/24. Simply an excellent PN. Darker tones than other Sonoma PN. Dark cherry, cinnamon oak, maybe leather. A velvety mouthfeel. Full bodied. — 14 days ago
Savory, smells dark, looks light.. Blackberry leaf, hibiscus, cranberry. Good acidity. Medium-light bodied. — a month ago

Among my favorite Renaissance wines, surpassed perhaps only by the 2001. Still loads of sweet piquant red and black cherries, currants, stewed plums, dried meat, mesquite wood, chocolate, wet earth, graphite and iron. Tannins have dropped out (as evidenced by the loads of sediment) leaving a velvety smooth texture. Not falling off a cliff but should be enjoyed soon — 7 days ago
