Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Red fruits on the nose with earth, spices, chocolate notes and herbs.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, spices, espresso, herbs, green vegetables and peppercorn.

Short finish with grippy tannins and tart cranberries.

This is an interesting take on a Chianti from Alexander Valley. Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but a good food wine right now.

Showing nice complexity, but still a little grippy, once it opens up.
Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years and see how it evolves.

Will pair nicely with Pizza, or with Pasta with red sauce.

A field blend of Sangiovese with a touch of Canaiolo Nero, Malvasia, and Trebbiano. Aged in used French oak barrels for 17 months. A tiny production of only 1,300 bottles.

Love this style of wine. Nose jumps out at you with bright cherry fruit, spice, loads of minerals and lovely forest floor. Ripe and lurid. Soupy in the best way. Really airy, high toned and just so aromatic. Very impressed. Palate is sweet and succulent with very impressive tang and length. A haunting opulent and terrific texture adds to the allure. Lovely dark purple color, the Shiraz is black pepper and spice, with a quite tannic profile, the Viognier provides some lovely floral notes and acidity, longish finish, should easily improve for 2-4 more years. — 7 months ago

Nose is lightly briney, fresh sage and peppercorn, cold yellow apple.
Palate has chalky red fruits, abundant red & yellow cherry, great acid and even better mineral texture.

I've found the Brice NV bottles all need a decant, yes decant Champagne, seriously. These bubbles are over the top, and only an extensive airing will bring you full enjoyment. The vintage bottles are good to go from the bottle, more restrained effervescence there. This was decanted for about 60m, but I did have the decanter in the refrigerator, I still have respect for service temperature. — 7 years ago
