3 big boys, Cuilleron, Villard, & Gaillard team up to produce nice wines at great qpr.
N. Lots of honeysuckle and peach, stone fruits. Mineral too.
P: the palate is where this shines. Oily, long, on lees for 9 mo. Melons, peaches, bit o’ pineapple. Lots of minerality.
Let that warm for a while, and it’s opulent.
A hint of bitter, stoniness on the finish. — 3 years ago
At 15 years old, perhaps slightly past peak maturity but still fruit dominated, with a little tannin. Nicely balanced though only a trace of structure; very pleasant. — 5 years ago
Had a couple of these “Blue Boys” in my cellar. Mollydooker (Aussie for left-hander) Wines was established in 2005 by Sarah and Sparky Marquis. Dark color with big dark berry fruit nose adding sweet spice and cedar. On the palate this is a big wine with complex berry flavors, layered with cacao, oak and creamy vanilla. Grippy tight tannins, starting to ease, gives way to peasant mouthfeel, full-bodied, long ending with a nice spicy bite. Aging well! — 5 years ago
Had the tempranillo a few months ago, this time it’s the grenache. It’s still wickedly young but putting out loads of cherry and watermelon juiciness and then immediately takes a turn into that rocks district funk. Always impressive how that shines through even when these wines are fresh. — 6 years ago

The angel whispered “we’re gonna party, betch” and we did. I always dig the rose that put basic girls on the map. — 5 years ago

Light purple red, reminds me more of a Willamette Pinot Noir. — 3 months ago
