A solid budget “Beauj”. This actually tastes like terroir and you can tell the winemaker is trying to not get too involved in the cellar unlike last nights moulin a vent. A lightness and tartness that is quite fun raspberry notes of fruit and a lot of acidity lead to a good drinking wine. Perhaps cherry notes in the middle? The finish isn’t huge but it does linger after swallowing. Actually the nose is quite pretty. Lilac notes? A flower. Highly recommended. The light tartness on the finish might a little much for some people. Maybe air will mellow it. Will buy again.
Edit: after 20 or 30 min of air the tart end integrates and the wine smoothed even more out. This probably deserves a higher rating than 9. Highly recommended — 3 years ago

On the nose: soft honey, dense lemon oil, soft vanilla, a touch of oxidative golden apple. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2024 “Les Monts Damés” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with white flowers, grapefruit, star fruit, alfalfa, and cream cheese stuffed poblano pepper. There’s also this Double Bubble thing going on. Wild stuff. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. In a world of increasing ambiguity, I love that this is immediately identifiable as Sancerre. Drink now through 2034+. — 4 months ago

Soms heb je zo’n glas waar alles samenkomt.

En wát een wijn is dit weer zeg, zo blij met mijn geduld 😃

Alles waar je op hoopt bij rijping, gebeurt hier. De spanning is er nog, maar nu verweven met rijp fruit, een bijna wasachtige textuur en die zilt-minerale diepgang die maar blijft doorgaan. Dit is geen frisse, strakke Sauvignon Blanc, dit is gelaagd, complex en serieus indrukwekkend.

Het mooiste?
Dit bevestigt precies waarom geduld loont. Deze wijn hééft tijd nodig. En als je ‘m dat geeft, krijg je iets terug dat echt buitencategorie is.

Ik zeg het niet snel, maar: dit is echt mijn wijn. En dat terwijl ik normaal geen uitgesproken liefhebber ben van deze druif.

Maar dit… dit is gewoon geniaal. 🍷

There is some evident oak up front in this Cuvée Felix, lots of fresh, clean red-fruited Grenache which is less ripe than the 2015 CdP opened with this, some mineral and floral notes as well, very good balancing acidity which keeps the wine youthful (it really seems like a 10-year-old CdP), I’d say it will improve for 5 years and easily last 10 more years, but the long, lively finish means it’s drinking very well tonight!! Purchased at the domaine in early 2007. — 6 months ago
