Love good value Italians! This (2017)will be excellent in a few more years, but was drinking quite well even now. Juicy and tart red fruit up front, bright tomatoes, a touch of fennel, paprika, earthy funkiness too. It was an excellent pairing with a beef short rib pasta sauce. Single Vineyard Lujan De Cuyo Malbec 2017

I opened it two days ago, poured a glass then corked it. Today it’s amazing. Plums, some leather and warm ripe strawberries. The color is deep and beautiful. It’s delicious. A good reco from 67 Wine in NYC/UWS. — 25 days ago

Delectable Wine

The 2017 Barolo Prapò shows the breadth and volume that are typical of this site, and, yet, retains a very appealing sense of transparency. Super-ripe, dark cherry, spice, leather, earthiness, tobacco and incense bring out darker shades of Nebbiolo. Overall, this is a relatively accessible Barolo from a site where the wines can be much more dense and muscular. The 2017 is terrific. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2021)
