Tasted blind. I guessed a 2012 from Emilia Romagna. Pretty pleased with myself. Correct vintage and I was only out by a hundred miles or so.
As for the wine, it is at its peak, aging a little. Rich with slight oxidation elements and petrol. Viscous texture. Quite akin to many a Burgundy.

This wine needs a little bit of airtime to develop. Deep golden hue. The age gives it a bit of hotness that needs to blow off
My favorite part of this wine is the butterscotch richness. Unique and divine.

It’s got good depth with some butterscotch flavor and a roundness suggesting good oak integration. Not overwhelmingly sweet though it has some richness to it.
