Really serious Rose for the lovers of complex experiences with a generous nose and beautiful long mineral finish. — 7 months ago
Provided by a friend for a go deep on older wines dinner pre-Christmas. Initially concerned that a storage mishap earlier in its life may have done some damage, but once opened for 20-30 minutes, it really started to sing nicely. 31 year old Ribera del Duero from a time when you still needed to know to buy these wines on release. Deeper than a Rioja, so good dark fruits, tobacco, horse leather, and the like. Enjoyed with standing rib roast and more than held its own with Bordeaux from the same year and other delicious wines. — 4 years ago

Buttercream, apricot, lily, and lemons with a bit of sea shell. Yum! — 10 months ago
There really is something about island wines. We seem to have an affinity to them all—Madeira, Corsica, Sicily...and here we with are with Canary sack. Red, actually, with terrific poise, balance, and expression of terroir. Double decanted and enjoyed on the second day. Funky nose, with some sweet fruit mixed in. Peppery palate, wet stone, easy fruit, and great acidity. Another winner. — 6 years ago
Lovely wine. 2001 is probably past its prime but good cherry notes with spice and cocoa. Lovely long finish. — 2 months ago
