2013 Tinto Pesquera Crianza. Moderate acidity, good notes of American Oak, with toasty spices, some black fruits, anise and leather. Given time to open (~40 min) really softened and began to show more black fruits. Served with the Bowery Steak and Veal Chop, sides of creamed spinach, mushroom fricassee, Brussels sprouts and hash browns. 14% ABV (!).
