If you are ever unconvinced that Slovakia doesn’t make good wine you need to try is wine from Stekov. Fred 8 Is light bodied wine but finds that balance between complex and easy drinking. I saw another reviewer said Brett on the nose and totally agree it’s a little bit barley wine co- fermented but still super ripe. Would be so good with cold charcuterie or grilled chicken. — 3 years ago
Such a masterful wine at almost 11 years of age. Nose is luscious and deep. Mint and red fruits and dramatic exotic spices. Terrific minerality. Limestone galore. Layered and perfumed. Knockout. Some charcoal as well. Palate is so juicy and energetic giving luscious red cherries that burst with intensity on the explosive finish. Then it cuts a swath of mineral and slowly dissipates. The work of a genius. The sweetness of the fruit and depth of minerality are so intertwined here. Unreal purity. Truly the most amazing Rhini I have ever had. — 4 months ago
Bright garnet color. Aromas of dark cherry, mushroom, tomato skin with a touch of barnyard funk. Pallet is full of ripe red fruit (cherry, cranberry , raspberry & plum) with notes of mushrooms, baking spices and minerals. A bit of smoke on the finish. Silky tannins. Medium bodied and bright. — 2 years ago
Sparkling wine, feeling so fine. This was so lovely. The grapefruit notes made it very memorable. — 3 years ago
11.5%, Leicht, muffig, very dry, überraschend anders…..es fehlt einfach etwas mehr frucht und nachhall für eine bessere note — 6 months ago
If Sour Patch Kids grew up and gave birth to a grapefruit, it would be this wine. Subtly sparkling with aromas of strawberry and flavors of grapefruit and red fruit candies with an almost sour acidity.
Super fun!! — 7 months ago
Dark ruby with some purple.
Dark fruit aromas
Surprising body for a German Pinot.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2019 pours a deep garnet color with an opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart and ripe red and black fruits: Montmorency cherry, plums, horse barn, purple and red flowers, crushed rocks and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and laden with minerals. This is not faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Drink now through 2029. — 10 hours ago
