Another solid vintage of Ziereisen’s Entry Level Baden Spatburgunder. Dark garnet color with a ruby core. Fragrant aromas of red cherry/berry fruit, forest floor and a hint of smoke. Flavors of sour cherry, unripe strawberry and pomegranate fruit with additional hints of dried herbs, savory spices and minerals. Long lasting earthy finish and extremely smooth tannins. Medium bodied with a very smooth texture and a bit of tension. Rustic but quite elegant at the same time. Excellent quality for a reasonable price.
