Very nice German Pinot Noir or Blauburgunder.
Notes of rhubarb, strawberries, jam and leather. A bit of a bite at first but mellower with a little time opened and with food.
Crab cakes, shrimp, asparagus and risotto. Chocolate cookie with salt to finish.

Translucent red in colour and beautifully aetheric on the nose. Sappy, fresh, light cherries, a bit of cranberry, a whiff of tree bark and a bit of undergrowth. Very fresh & bright.
On the palate this is light, with very fine, feather light tannins, juicy acidity, fruity yet not sweet. Raspberries & wild strawberries galore with a savoury touch towards the finish.
Very light, perhaps a touch, too light, juicy, enticing. And very, very nice. — a year ago
First Swiss Pinot Noir I’ve had. It’s easy drinking - cherry cola, dried roses, slight earthiness. Nice — 3 years ago
Feral and crunchy. Lovely tannins and bracing acid. 12.5⁰ alcohol. 2016 is a baby 7 years on. — 3 months ago
Pinot Nero bevuto a Natale a casa di papà, comprato da loro sul lago di Caldaro, eccezionale — 4 months ago
Jermann ‘Blau & Blau’ Rosso 2012: Medium-bodied. Impeccable balance. Nicely integrated tannins with the right level of acidity. The color was bright ruby red and the aromas were red fruit dominate. Tasting notes of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, herbs, earth, oak & smoke. Dry elegant finish. What an outstanding, unique Northern Italian blend of Blaufränkisch (Franconia in Italy or Lemberger in Germany) & Blauburgunder (Pinot Nero in Italy or Pinot Noir in France). Bought this several years ago at an enoteca in Bellaria, Italia due to the attractive pink label and tonight was the night it would be set free & consumed. Long story short, loved every drop; it was funky. It was fun. It was memorable. Highly recommend. Cheers🍷 — a year ago

The 2022 Pinot Noir Meczan is remarkably pretty. Dusty rose and lavender tones complement wild strawberries. Juicy textures, ripe wild berry fruits, orange zest and tactile mineral tones sweep across the palate. The Meczan tapers off fresh, nearly crunchy in feel, with medium length. $16.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2024) — 23 days ago
