Very fine Chateauneuf du Pape from Costco. Winemaker was Guillaume Gonnet. Drinks smooth and rich, subtle berry flavors and herbs du Provence. I’ve had some C du Papes that were a bit harsh, but not this one for about $20. Almost as good as a Hermitage. — a year ago

Medium intensity, rich ruby red, floral on the nose along with red fruit, earthy mushroom undertones and slight hints of chocolate. In the palate light mouth feel, full of fruit, strawberries and cherry. No to light tannin, medium acid compliments the earthy after taste. Amazing with goats cheese, cherry tomatoes on pane do casa or with quince paste. — 5 years ago
