Medium intensity, rich ruby red, floral on the nose along with red fruit, earthy mushroom undertones and slight hints of chocolate. In the palate light mouth feel, full of fruit, strawberries and cherry. No to light tannin, medium acid compliments the earthy after taste. Amazing with goats cheese, cherry tomatoes on pane do casa or with quince paste.

Refreshing that 2014 is the current vintage of this near-$20 red. Australian wines were ruined by the GST. This one is just so drinkable, offering a touch of sophistication to go with the primary fruit notes. It’s relatively simple in the end, but still seductive. Great midweek drinking.
