Juicy, fruity red. Deep and complex aerate — a year ago
This saw some time in oak and was much more complex than the Dolcetto. This was also finished with natural cork as opposed to aggomerated/Diam. When I asked about it the winery representative said they mix and use both in the hopper at bottling which kind blew my mind... — 2 years ago

This blend of Nero d’Avola, Frappato (locally called Nerocapitano), and Grenache is a Sicilian beauty! 💕 🇮🇹
It was lovingly nurtured and cultivated by hand and in a manner paying respect to the land from which it came, with minimal intervention, by husband and wife team Filippo and Nancy Rizzo. 🍇 🍷👌

👁 It’s a medium purple hue.
👃 On the nose it has a medium(+) intensity of youthful, bright, and yet savory aromas that include ripe raspberry, plum, black cherry, rhubarb, violet, clove, nutmeg, peppercorn, licorice, leather, tobacco, wet earth, and game.
👄 On the palate this wine is dry. It has medium acidity, a medium(+) body, medium alcohol, medium tannins, and medium intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish lingers. 👏👏👏
Cheers to this lovely, highly delicious wine 🍷 — 3 years ago
First date night after Maeve was born - dry, tanniny, delicious with our fatty red meat dishes (filet and rack of lamb) — 5 months ago
Nebbiolo rules, this bottle was no exception. Anise and black pepper with lively darker fruit and structured but gentle tannins. Lovely light body. Maybe some menthol on the nose? Enjoyed with JRC and Grace W after a salmon dinner (which we had chenin blanc with). Keep killing it, Langhe! — 10 months ago

Tasted over 2 days. Not much different after a couple hours of air. Solid traditional style Barolo. Much more open then when tried 3 years ago. Shy on the nose with earthy dark fruit, truffle, leather which were also predominant on the palate along with undergrowth, tobacco, and balsamic. Balanced acidity and soft yet expanding tannins. Finish is long with lingering tannins and an explosion of minerals. This is a hearty rather than a fruity Barolo. — a month ago
