A bargain at $190 from Winestar. Fear I may have become overcorrected with no decanting at all for vintage Barolos, following education in Piedmont, but it seemed to go full panoramic after the fourth glass. Must try again with controlled variables!

Perhaps the best barbera ever — 9 months ago
Yet another from the recent Winestar cellar release purchase. A gift at $150. Everything that the 2016 had, without the roses turned up to eleven.

Angelo Casagrande
Mohagany, leather, earth, tannins are fairly light, pleasing wine with a rich lasagna. Decanted for 3 hours. Good now, but would age a good deal longer. — 13 days ago
