Glad to see that winemaking trend is going towards more approachable while it doesn’t have to sit inside the bottle for more than a decade or so! Medium body, dry. Greatly integrated oak note with cherry on the palate. Paired well with a steak dinner. — 7 months ago
Honeysuckle, Jasmine on the nose. Rounded and layered on the palate. A treat! — 2 months ago
“Les Ecaillers”…. Made with grapes grown on two parcels in the calcaire-rich portion of the Pfersigberg grand cru, which has resulted in a racier wine.” — 5 months ago
Such an exceptional marsanne. Complex, rounded, and a hint of salinity. — 9 months ago
The 2020 Cornas Renaissance is delicious. It bursts with crushed violet, cured meat, menthol and black fruit aromatics. Peppery layers add more complexity. Offering increased concentration and an even riper profile than the 2022, I have no doubt that the powerful and neatly balanced 2020 Renaissance will be a long-distance runner. Medium- to full-bodied, it concludes with persistence on the complex finish. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, March 2024)

Dark fruit flavors like blackberries and dark cherries also tastes of dark chocolate and aged balsamic. This wine is very reduced. I don’t usually think of 18 years old as being very old for Châteauneuf-du-Pape but this one is showing its age. On the nose it gives balsamic reduction and dark cherry syrup. This wine has the nose of a vintage port. It does still have a good tannin structure. Very interesting. — 5 days ago
