One of America’s best, in winemaker Maggie Harrison. Great to find this on a list with a bit of age. There’s such a beguiling combination of savory earth, mineral and rich cherry fruit flavors, with killer concentration, a plush texture and serious length. Top notch Domestic Pinot for sure. — 5 months ago

Medium ruby in color; cherries, hibiscus, and dried leaves on the nose; residual sugar, medium plus acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like candied cherries, blackberries, and wet slate with a long finish. I think it will pair well with a cheeseburger. — a month ago

Needs a little bit of air. Red fruit that at first seems over extracted and then mellows a bit to reveal some mushroom earthy notes — 2 months ago

Amazing. Powerful. Rich. Long. Luxurious. This is an impressive wine. So New World! Its immediate and in your face but it still has do many refined elements. Layered fruit, earth and heft. Blueberry. Graphite. Cassis. Long. Remarkable wine. … did I say long? — 5 months ago

A more leaner rendition of this varietal, but in a good way. Nose displays clean cinnamon and toast. Palate is broad and expansive, yet light on its feet. A kiss of vanilla pod and black fruits conclude an excellent presentation. This is an intellectual wine.
