Il Favot Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

One of the best langhe nebbiolos I’ve had recently, especially for a relatively reasonable price on the list at Leon’s. And a great pairing with pork braciole as well. Lots of fruit, but still quite refined, with great texture and acid. Quite pretty and delicious. — 6 days ago

Viola Odorata Red Blend 2022

A big step up from the ‘22 Orchis and Myosotis. Black cherry, cherry pits, forest floor, fine persistent tannin, long and intense 🥰 — 2 months ago

That looks like an impressive lineup of mature Barolos. It must have been a fun evening.

Gran Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2000

This one had good bones but the slightest hint of vinegar on both the nose and palate - and the telltale orange rim in the glass. Drinkable but maybe just OTH and couldn’t measure up to the previous reds — 2 months ago

Riserva Speciale Granbussia Barolo Nebbiolo 1970

At age 55 it’s a bit faded. A little tired. But has an elegance and a weightless quality to it. Fruit not vivid but very much alive. Well balanced. This Granbussia, according to the label, was from Bricco Colonello fruit. Lovely. — 3 months ago
