The 2nd glass of wine we had in the degustation we had with Byron Hewett and his wife Paulina. This was 100% Roussanne from the Savoie region. I recall it being textural and minerally. A note of pear. Either 2021 or 2022, I can’t recall. I don’t believe the producer was Pierre Boniface - more likely Domaine Adrien Berlioz. — 9 months ago
This was great. Moderately priced and hits all the right notes. — 2 years ago

Mineral, spiced red fruit. Feel: firm, medium. Biodynamically farmed, hand harvested. — 2 years ago
More malolactic than citric acid but lovely nonetheless. Paired very well with shrimp scampi. — 25 days ago

It's a peculiar chablis. The nose is rich with pear, white peach, fresh white grapes juice, lemon curd, honey. It's smelling almost botrytised. The palate is a bit more classical, with a good acid drive, with a bit of a chalky mouthfeel, lemon and lime juice, some grip and a long, fresh finish that goes on for a while. It's quite good but not at all standard on the nose. And interestingly, the very tropical and rich nose doesn't really translate into a tropical and rich palate. I have another bottle of this wine on the side that I will open soon to check whether there might be a touch of premox that could explain the odd nose. — 23 days ago
