Great Napa cab. Actually reminds me of a caymus I had recently. Spicy, bold, rich and tasty. — 10 years ago

Southern Italian whites, yes!!! — 2 years ago
Slightly hazy (unfined?) gold. Abundant nose of honeyed tropical fruits, baked apple, and vanilla tinged orange crème. Full-bodied palate of cooked pineapple, baked apple, hint of orange, yellow lilies, and… how does one say “baseball bat” only subtly? Another quintessential Russell Bevan white that’s a monster in body, but velvet on the palate. A big wine that begs for big, complex dishes. My drinking partner (who suggested the wine was like an Adele song… you think it’s going to be a rustic stumble, but it clearly has much more going on) made an incredible pork loin, root vegetable, and apple entrée that was right where a dish should be to stand up to this wine. Similar dishes will work. Not your grandmother’s Chardonnay. Drink now through 2023. — 5 years ago
Had this a while ago and wanted to try again. Perrier-Jouët, founded in 1811 in Epernay by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier and his wife, Adele Jouët. The firm began shipping wine to Great Britain in 1813 and to the United States by 1837. Bright straw with fine mousse and tiny bubbles, stone fruit and citrus aromas. The palate shows complex fresh fruit, vivid acidity, perfect balance on lingering finish ending with a yeasty mineral touch. Great value! A fav! Very nice! — 8 years ago
Before the Adele concert....I love you xx — 10 years ago
Last summer we got into the bad habit of putting big halves of yellow peaches on the grill. The juicy caramelized peach halves would then get served up atop a thick slice of pound cake with a decadent scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Ok, back to the wine. The peaches are there and they're Adele-ish peaches. Citrus blossoms and gardenia tickle your nose. The density of pound cake fills up the middle and vanilla hints around on the finish joined by a streak of limestone and a handful of toasted pistachios. I'm adding the pistachios to the dessert next time. — 10 years ago

Thank adele for the holiday treat! — 9 years ago
Perfect pairing with Alfredo sauce. Light profile, full body, good acidity. Honeydew up the wazoo. A hint of oak and just enough MLF to round it out. Exactly what I was looking for and exceeded expectations. — 11 years ago
