Thank you Brian and Russell for the sneak peak!!
Dark ruby red. Lush nose with cinnamon, twigs, raspberries, and cherries. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Lush and layered palate with red berries, spices and some freshly broken twigs. Long finish. Drink till 2027. โ 6 years ago
What an incredible second day here in Napa. Jesus started us off with an amazing tasting at Davies/Schramsberg, Crocker & Starr gave us our cab franc fix, Montagu & Addax put on a double tasting, and Hourglass knocked it out of the park at the end of the day! I wonโt post each wine we tasted, but Iโll highlight the best from each spot.
@jesus g was a killer host. He opened up some older sparklers to compare against new releases as well as poured some very impressive JDavies reds, including the Diamond Mtn Cab. This JSchram Reserve โ08 though was on a different level. Honeyed almond, apricot, lemon curd. Texture and acidity were seductive at 10yrs old. Happy to have one tucked away for the foreseeable future. Legit, @jesus g ! โ 6 years ago
A bit young needs some bottle aging or many hrs. of decanting (only gave it 2hrs) Should be 95+ in a few yrs. โ 3 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is the Addax Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.
Deep purplish ruby red that completely coats the glass. Rich nose covered in blackberries, cassis and dark cocoa. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Plush and rich on the palate coated in vanilla, plums and blackberries. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2036. โ 5 years ago

One of the best winery visits weโve ever done in our now 4 years is coming out. A combo of perfect weather, a great host, and no rush due to time constraints. One of the most beautiful caves Iโve ever seen. Similarities here to the Bevan cab, but this showed a bit more give and flex. Gorgeous bouquet of blue and black fruit. Plum, espresso and some dark chocolate. Loved it. โ 6 years ago
Really good chard. Poured more of an amber color than I thought. Nose of bay breeze, oyster shell, salinity, yellow fruit. Entry of cantaloupe, banana, herbal character. Very round on the front, and then dries to an acidic character in the middle and finish. This wine is really quite dense on the front and yet doesn't seem to impose with whatever is paired with it. Has a lot of density, complexity and balance, and I think this one has many years left. Bottle didn't last long! โ 4 years ago
Part 1 of the final and main event for the Fall WNH. The most spectacular lineup of wines Iโve ever seen, and an overall wonderful ending to an amazing trip with fantastic people.
Iโve had many of Bevanโs other label SauvBlancs (Bevan, Addax) that are unfiltered and to me, there is more fruit here than the others. Very tropical...mango & guava. Rich palate that is very honeyed. The finish has the limestone/stone fruit traits of the others. A fantastic Cali SB. Thanks @Joe Lucca ! โ 5 years ago

We are all die hard Cab Franc fans, so a stop here was a must after @Carl Fischer introduced me to this cab franc last year. First, the property itself is flat out gorgeous. Quaint and quiet. Awesome history here as well.
This cab franc is a BABY. New release. Red and black fruits are still fighting to take over...didnโt get much blueberry off of this like I did the โ12, but age plays a part. Violet, lavender, black truffle and a touch of spice. A benchmark for Napa Cab Franc, alongside Arnyca and Detert. The Post 1 bottle is their current release (2013) Cabernet that is their purest expression of Cabernet from the Estate. This is serious Cabernet...tannic, structured and could compete with top end mountain wines. โ 6 years ago
