Wow!! What a pick @Todd Abrams. You should see the legs on this one. Beautiful ripe red fruit with a touch or earthiness. Thanks for another of our wine shop chats and I always look forward my next visit. — 7 years ago

Recommended for me by Todd Abrams at Elie. A little too fruit juicy. But good! — 8 years ago
So @Todd Abrams this was very good. Thanks for the recommendation. Just cleaned the pool and was very thirsty. — 8 years ago

I have a few bottles of this from ‘12 vintage. I was fortune enough that Elie Wine Company had a case of 2004 laying around. Since I am not a big consumer of these wines I thought it would be fun to try an older vintage and see what may be in store in the future. I tasted with @Todd Abrams. Old leather and cherry and starting to get some old cigar box/smoke. Old red brick in color. Threw it in the decanter for dinner so I am sure it may get more expressive as the day wears on. — 8 years ago
Just a fantastic nose here. Tropical fruits/flowers. Pineapple, red ripe grapefruit. Crisp and fresh. Awesome effort and thanks to my bud @Todd Abrams for some great picks!! — 9 years ago
Lastnight I had the basic NSG from th same producer. I had had it before but with a little more age to it I thought it was fantastic. This one has a touch more smoke with more concentrate cherry and spices plus it is deeper in color. I bet this one is got for another 5 y are at least. It goes well with watching Mamma Mia. What do you think about that @Todd Abrams !! — 9 years ago

My string of drinking outstanding Corsican wines continues. Thanks to my bud @Todd Abrams for finding them for me. I had a glass from a bottle that was opened on Saturday. Red candy apple coating and a bit earthy. Fresh bottle. Still earth and herbs. Digging it with Family Feud. — 7 years ago

Solid end to a fun evening. Thanks @Todd Abrams — 8 years ago
This was a last minute add to the haul on a recommendation from @Todd Abrams. Dude this is spectacular. Reminds me a bit of the lychee we tried. Definitely not lacking character. One day closer to the weekend. — 8 years ago

Activated all the nodes. Crisp and bright up front with apples and stone fruit and a funky almond midpalate. Very fun wine that deftly split the difference between uni, shrimp and lamb neck. Thanks @Todd Abrams — 8 years ago
Perfect for a snowy Thursday. This is a tasty wine that if I can borrow a phrase from @Todd Abrams its not you grandpa’s Rioja. — 8 years ago

Superb. What an amazing bottle of wine. Very concentrated color. This would be a wine to search out. Black licorice, plums and spices. The licorice really starts to come out but does not overpower in any way. Thanks to my bud @Todd Abrams for this one. — 9 years ago

Sweating in Wrigleyville and enjoying another gem from @Todd Abrams. Thanks for pulling this one out. Not to heavy even on a very hot day. Flat cola. — 7 years ago

Ha I did @Todd Abrams. Love this one. Lemon heads. — 7 years ago

Jut a small amount of smoke infused cherries. Oh baby just fantastic!! Perfect drinking space right now. You picked real good @Todd Abrams. Thanks my brother. — 8 years ago
This is the real deal!! Velvety berries with some Burgundy earthiness. Thanks to @Jeni for surprising me with this fantastic bottle of wine. @Todd Abrams good pull thanks brother. — 8 years ago

Couldn’t wait. Had to open a bottle after enjoying this with @Todd Abrams yesterday. This one needs time but is going to a very nice wine. Needs some air right now but it’s Saturday night and it was 50 degrees today so who cares. Happy St. Patrick’s day and everybody be safe!! — 8 years ago

Thibault Liger Belair is a stud!! He has a sweet first name and he knows how to make wine. Had the pleasure of sharing a few with @Todd Abrams. Awesome. — 9 years ago
Had this one a few days ago with @Todd Abrams and it had been open for about a month. Just pulled this one out of the fridge and opened it. Honey and butterscotch. Nice dessert night cap while watching the all-star game. — 9 years ago

Plan is to drink a bunch of Beaujolais for the holidays after a fun visit with @Todd Abrams at Elie Wine. This is number one. Lavender smoke and oh so good. 🤓 — 7 years ago
