Cassis And Herbal notes and generally a lovely Cabernet perfume. Medium weight yet a perfect balance ensures a long life. Leading Australian wine scribe James Halliday awarded this wine 99 points and made it his 2015 Wine of the Year with a drinking window till 2051! Can't see it that long myself but an excellent drop nevertheless. High quality Margaret River Cabernet. β 5 years ago
I was surprised how nice this was. As good as a $50 premium wine. Finished after open for a week and it was silky smooth. β 2 years ago

Pear peach and apricot. Great punch of acid in the middle. Long. Delicious. β 5 years ago
Funky mealy aromas with evidence of Lees stirring. Taut and lean with oak in the background. No malolactic fermentation keeping this wine steely with citric acid and grapefruit flavours to the fore. If thereβs a hot winery in Margaret River currently itβs Xanadu - winning Gold Medals and Trophies for both its Reds and its Whites on the Australian Show Circuit. β 3 years ago
Dense crimson. Slightly jammy nose. Black fruits. Medium-heavy cab of medium length. Lacks the finesse of cheribino/ xanadu et al. Fruit ladden front and mid palate. Dense tannic finish. Balanced enough and may be better in a few years but too jammy and not well enough integrated currently. D3 update: beautiful, seemless, jaminess gone. 94 (from 92-93) β 6 years ago
