Complex, balanced, bit of apricot on the nose, nice long finish—do NOT drink too cold, leave a glass at room temp for 20 min after coming out of frig — 23 days ago
The best Cab Sav I’ve ever tasted 😱 — a year ago
Bright lemon yellow and spotlessly clean in appearance. Nose a little closed. More citrus than stone fruit on the palate- slightly waxy texture with medium minus acid. Built for the long haul when made. Great to see in a very well made Margaret River Chardonnay. Could still enjoy this in 2 or 3 years time. Xanadu has been exhibiting well in the last several years on the Australian Show Circuit. Drank my last bottle on 11th January 2021, 43 weeks after the note above. Consistent notes, great to have a mature Margaret River Chardonnay from a good producer. Made in the leaner style ( compared to Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay) and probably picked a little earlier. A good balance between citrus and stone fruit such as nectarine. — a year ago
Jammy, with hints of blackberry. Oaky, dry, and full of Tannins. — 2 months ago
Pencil shavings- Sarah liked it — 5 months ago
I was surprised how nice this was. As good as a $50 premium wine. Finished after open for a week and it was silky smooth. — a year ago
Sharp and tart like a mother-in-law‘s tongue. This wine had the under the tongue mouth watering acidity offset with melon and Whiteflower notes. Lemon citrus more so than grapefruit or orange. Refreshing and crisp on a blustery warm day. — 3 years ago
powerful and precise . Still loads to give after 10years. More powerful than it’s neighbour Leeuwin Art Series. Leaves an impact. — 4 months ago
Wonderful! Just enough tanins to be interesting, but not out of the way crazy in your face.
Great as a day drinker or as a accompaniment to pizza or something with grease.
Will be getting a number 3 soon! — a year ago
