Montaia Pignoletto Frizzante 2017: Fun. Fresh. Dry. Nice fruit flavors of melon, citrus & apple. Smooth refreshing finish. This is a wonderfully light sparking white wine for any summertime occasion! Today, I paired this versatile frizzante with a local Romagna favorite called cassoni. Oh so good 😋 Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 6 days ago

This blend of Nero d’Avola, Frappato (locally called Nerocapitano), and Grenache is a Sicilian beauty! 💕 🇮🇹
It was lovingly nurtured and cultivated by hand and in a manner paying respect to the land from which it came, with minimal intervention, by husband and wife team Filippo and Nancy Rizzo. 🍇 🍷👌
Lamoresca, Rosso, Sicily, Vintage 2019, ABV 13.5%. @lamorescavini
👁 It’s a medium purple hue.
👃 On the nose it has a medium(+) intensity of youthful, bright, and yet savory aromas that include ripe raspberry, plum, black cherry, rhubarb, violet, clove, nutmeg, peppercorn, licorice, leather, tobacco, wet earth, and game.
👄 On the palate this wine is dry. It has medium acidity, a medium(+) body, medium alcohol, medium tannins, and medium intensity of flavors consistent with the nose. The finish lingers. 👏👏👏
Cheers to this lovely, highly delicious wine 🍷 — 7 days ago
N:Deep black cherries with an acidic raspberry lift. Tarry northern Italy. Black/red. Some interesting musty barnyard/funk goodness.
P: Upon initial pnp, this was dry as a bone.Really opens up and jucifies with air and a chx/prosc/mozz sand.
Still very black w red overtones.
Little tannic grip on the back end esp.
I can’t see this lasting long once popped.
