Ripe, full and showing nice restraint.
Dark fruit, a pinch of fresh herbs, a touch of cedar wood.
Quite fresh on the palate with fine, polished tannins, a core of succulent fruit and just a tiny touch of wood adding complexity.
Very fine & elegant for a Syrah/Grenache blend from the Languedoc.

Somewhat disappointed with this. Payed 110 euro for the bottle in the restaurant (normal retail around 70 euro). This definitely needs a couple of years to come together but even then I don't see the quality that a 70 euro per bottle should give IMHO. A bottle of 9 euro Gamay that was served next to it completely blew this away. Also on day two this was still unbalanced. — a month ago
