Tawny Port

W. & J. Graham's

Aged 20 Years Tawny Port Blend

I think @Josh Morgenthau really nailed this note: recently finished Taylor Fladgate 20 yr which was always a favorite, but I picked this up in Duty Free and was blown away. Similar notes & flavor profile as TF, but the mouthfeel really sets this apart & above. So elegant, so refined, such great tension & harmony - the defined acidity highlight & elevate intense flavors. Bravo! — 6 days ago

20 Years Old Tawny Port Blend

Had this many times before - believe this is the best $ for port out there… although slipped a bit in recent years — 2 months ago

Agreed, the 20Y is the best of the 10/20/30/40.

Otima 10 Year Old Tawny Porto Port Blend

Not quite the level of a single vintage or a Taylor’s 20 but still nice. — 6 days ago

Quinta do Noval

Vintage Port Nacional 1962

1962 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately and over the course of two hours. As with all of these older vintage port corks, a Durand is a helpful "suggestion" but a funnel with a fine filtering screen is essential. Wowzers. Plenty grippy on the back end and drinking as if awakened from a nap-guilty as charged. Needs another 15 years to “let it go.” Remarkable complexity. Holy bleep. Thanksgiving 11.23.23. — 5 days ago

Vintage Port 1977

1977 vintage. As you would expect from a great vintage from nearly five decades past. A slight green streak detected top of the palate. Otherwise, lovely. 11.16.23. — 12 days ago

Vintage Porto Port Blend 1994

Opened in FLA with family on Thanksgiving 2023. Decent after almost 30 years. Tastes young. Probably better in another 10 years. — 5 days ago

Part of my brothers 60th birthday present direct from the Mount Mary cellars. Amazing. So delicate with an endless complex palate. — a month ago

Finest Vintage Port Blend 1960

Had a chance to try a Vintage 1960 Port from Fonseca. Amber in color. Intensity of raisin, but incredibly silky to the tongue. Plenty of fruit left in this bottle. — 2 months ago
