Based in Napa Valley, brand from Kathryn Hall focuses on Pinot Noir, features grapes from one of Oregon's best sites, Shea Vineyard, located Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Medium Ruby, delicious bouquet of berry fruit with floral and earthy notes. On the palate fresh strawberry and cherry flavors with sweet spice & earthy black tea tones. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending creamy with fruit, spice and mineral tones. Wow! — a month ago
Intense ripe raspberry nose on open. Continued raspberry second nose, slight salinity, charcuterie and rain, complexity more pronounced as it opens up. Silky smooth, medium acid, light in the mouth, medium high alcohol. Clean finish. Gets better as it opens up, jammy fruit bomb on open. — 3 months ago
Color of burgundy, quite clear with copper tone on the rim. Nose is beautiful with nice aldehyde, dried strawberry, crayon, dressed with some oak and spice note, prune, and warmth from alcohol. The nose is definitely high end. Taste follows the nose, with addition of grapefruit zest, drier than I expected. 2nd sip shows more vanilla, refined acidity and simply tasty. Aftertaste is long and clean with backbone of warm alcohol. Nice one. — a month ago

Still some years left. Dark fruit, fine tannins. Big body. — 4 months ago
Fragrant mountain fruit
A few hours of airtime, as per my usual.
Some tropical notes at first sip - Shea, coconut, this opens the floor up for debate on what comes next, is it the dark chocolate cherry, or cacao nibs with red stone fruits? Hard to say, except the finish is even, tannin acid balance is quite nice.
Overall this is an amazing Cab Franc. — 5 months ago
