This wine is lush but well balanced by acidity and soft tannin. You don’t notice you are drinking a Merlot — 7 days ago

Walla Walla Valley Merlot 2017

The 2017 ‘Walla Walla Valley’ Merlot is sourced in equal parts from the Seven Hills Vineyard and Ferguson Vineyard. Needing an hour in the decanter to be fully aroused, once awoken you experience dark currants and sandalwood aromatics, woven together with with shades of milk chocolate and roasted figs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with intense tannins that collide with the core of dark fruits, espresso bean and violets on the palate. With incredible tension and solid viscosity, this sturdy Merlot will enjoy a long life in the cellar. Drink 2022-2035- 93 — 10 days ago

Seven Springs Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Slightly cloudy appearance, dull not bright. Discovered tiny pieces of solid matter in the glass so seems unfined and unfiltered. Definitely better uncorked than Coravinned, needs to breath a little. With Coravin there’s some reductive notes and vegetable notes. Medium(-) aromas that remind me of stems and fermentation (tank sample) definitely som stems in the ferment. Warm alcohol on the nose and on the palate. Still, good balance between the intensity and the richness of ripe red fruit and the acidity. A little too much alcohol sensation for me. #eolaamityhills #oregon #oregonwine #pinotnoir — a month ago

La Source Seven Springs Vineyard Chardonnay 2017

This Chardonnay is very good, but not worth its very high price. The flavors are very complex, but not well-coordinated. The palette begins with Apple and pineapple, tasting more European than American, but then finishes with a buttery flavor. The achievement of so many flavors was impressive, but the flavors did not match up for me. The balance of flavors improved over time with oxygen, so perhaps I should have let it breathe an hour before consuming. Good, but I wouldn’t buy it again. — 5 days ago

Perigee Seven Hills Vineyard Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2007

Foxy. Black currants and dust on the nose with oak and some cocoa. Savory, tannic, palate staining and a little sweet, but with enough acidic lift and freshness even at 14 years to make for interesting drinking. Some sediment has fallen out, but not enough; more time will help.. Very tasty. — 22 days ago

Speaking Rock Similkameen Valley Cabernet Franc 2016

Visited this lovely estate winery in August 2020. Had a wonderful tour, visited the wine cave, enjoyed 6-8 tastings. The Cabernet Franc is robust. Peppery and berry fruit on the nose followed by chocolate and a hint of coffee and a smooth, easy finish. Enjoyed a rare steak and piping hot baked potato with a large glass. — 25 days ago
