Estate Grown Carneros Pinot Noir 2013

Established in 1969, in Carneros in Napa Valley, cooled by fog from the San Pablo Bay. Ruby with red fruit aromas and floral scents. On the palate raspberry and strawberry fruit with baking spice and woody notes. Savory tannins, smooth and refreshing on lingering ending. Very nice. — 5 years ago

Linda Vista Vineyard Chardonnay 2020

A complex Chardonnay from renowned producer Steve Matthiasson. Sourced from Linda Vista vineyard, in the Oak Knoll District, at the southern end of the Napa valley. (Due to its proximity to the San Pablo Bay and the cool winds from the ocean, average summer temperatures are considerably cooler than in the upper valley, making it an ideal area for Chardonnay in Napa). Fermented and aged in neutral oak. Apples, melon, some buttery notes on the nose. Green apple on the palate. Fresh, good acidity. Slightly creamy, rounder and fruitier than the Chablis tasted next to it. Mineral, a hint of salinity

Poligonos del Valle de Uco San Pablo Cabernet Franc 2016

Great! Medium-bodied, notes of raspberry. Smooth, soft but present tannin. Elegant, almost reminds me of a Piedmont Nebbiolo-based wine more than a cab franc, at least for this vintage. — 4 years ago

Peter Franus

Albariño 2016

A rare Napa Valley Albariño from the Stewart Ranch in Carneros, close to San Pablo Bay. Beautifully complex nose with ripe white peach, camomile, jasmine, lime and a distinctive oceanic minerality. On the palate it is bright and energetic with very pure juicy white stone fruit, crispy acidity, impeccable balance and a long mineral-driven finish to the point of feeling salty. A terrific wine! Well worth the price at 27 euro. 200 cases produced. Abv. 14,1%. — 5 years ago

La Follette

Sun Chase Vineyard Chardonnay 2017

The only way to get the prior bottle stink off is to burn it off! Definitely the hottest chips I’ve had,
Chard isn’t bad either
Jeb & Parker/lisa 94, but since I found for $30.00 instead of $50.00 from the winery its a 95-96

Planted on the west-facing hillside where the cool Petaluma Gap collides with Sonoma Mountain, this site overlooks a broad sweep of the county from the San Pablo Bay to north Santa Rosa. Our Chardonnay block with an east-west row aspect sits on a sun-drenched, rocky incline at 1000' where fruit yields are naturally limited with small clusters and aromatic fruit.

76 clone
Whole-cluster pressing, 100% native yeast primary fermentation, 100% wild malolactic fermentation
11 months in low toast, air-dry 3-year-old French oak, 25% new
Alc.14.1% |
