Fort Ross - Seaview Sonoma County Pinot Noir 2019

2019 vintage. Decanted. Great nose. Medium body. Much more powerful than previous vintages. Zippy and almost aggressive vs lighter and passive. Not my fave AVA as I've gotta be in the mood for the ethereal, ephemeral and fleeting trifecta this AVA hard-core sponsors. Yet...something about the region...encapsulates the thrill of the pinot chase better than most. 4.20.24. — 4 days ago

Ross Station Estate Chardonnay 2016

Very oaky with very big pop upfront and then a touch of glycerin on the finish. Paired well with seafood. — 8 months ago

Sea Slopes Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Everything a good Pinot Noir should be. There are subtle fruit notes but still a medium body wine that hold up well. Note the alcohol content is 13%, which for a Cal wine seems low. Kudos to the winemaker for making such an impressive wine without bumping up the alcohol content. FYI, the 2021 was a Costco close out in the San Diego area. — a month ago
