Costco finally got this back in. Its been awhile. I like it better at $49 than $59. Either price it’s a beautiful N/V cuvée.

Prior notes will stand.

Prospect 772

The Instigator Syrah 2008

Surprising amount of fruit given the last Prospect772 that I had (either a 2009 or 2010). Found this gem tucked away & I guess I had low expectations - could be my last 772 was a Brawler. Either way 100% Syrah & darn tasty. — 3 months ago

Château Fourcas Dupré

Listrac-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

2016 vintage. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%, Merlot (49%) and Petit Verdot(2%). As it's holding back a lot initially, take your time or decant. Classic nose with cassis and cedarwood. Medium-bodied, high acidity, clean fruit, and good length with a mineral touch. Tannins are a little rough, better with food. Needs time. Certainly a good wine, but I believe there is much more potential here given the quality of the vineyards. With the new owner since 2019 exciting times are to be expected for this estate. Château Ferrande

Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

A Bordeaux blend 51% Merlot, 49% CS. Very elegant, brilliant color towards the dark, nose of matured cherry, vanilla and earth, leather; velvety on the palate. Nice and long finish. — 2 months ago

Brut Cuvée Sparkling Pinot Noir Blend

Got a chance to taste this new offering from Decoy, made with 49% Pinot Noir, 47% Chardonnay & 4% Pinot Meunière, made in traditional method. Pale lemon, fine bubbles with a light creamy mousse and aromas of fresh stone fruit with biscuit scents. On the palate ripe apple, citrus zest and peachy flavors with nice mineral tones, dry with vivid acidity. Long finish with good balance ending with fruit, slight mineral and yeast tang. Excellent value as a CA sparkler. — 3 months ago

Bin 389 South Australia Cabernet Shiraz 2016

Had another ‘16, couldn’t resist. Referred to as the “Baby Grange,” blend of 51% Cab Sauv & 49% Shiraz, aged for 12 months in American oak, partly in previous-vintage Grange casks. Dark Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruits, sweet and complex spice. On the palate juicy blackberry flavors with notes of cacao and toasty spices. Well balanced with acidity, full ripe tannins, long ending with smoky spice, fruit well integrated with oak, drink over next 10 years+, will only get better. — 3 months ago
