Yellow straw color. The nose really citrusy, floral with hints of crushed gravel and subtle note of petrol. On the palate bright and crispy, notes of green apple, lemon zest, petroleum. The finish quite acidic and precise. Really nice companion for pizza and pasta. — 2 months ago
Rich & intense yet so precise & fine.
Orchard apples, fresh apricots, a salty, slatey whiff, the typical white pepper rather underplayed. Fresh, seemingly light.
On the palate this punches wow. Intense, rich, layered yet so fine and almost weightless. Layers of ripe fruit, with juicy, electric acidity and as if a light tannic frame. Gewürztraminer like in the mouthfeel & complexity, yet with such precision. Wow. There’s depth, there’s tension, there’s great energy & flow.
I’m not a great fan of Grüner Veltliner, and yet this is absolutely stunning. The finish just goes on forever.
I wonder how this will age.
One of Austria‘s greatest in 2020? — 4 months ago
One of the better and more unexpected wines I’ve had this year. Burgundy meets Nebbiolo but even more rustic. 50% xinomavro, 35% krassato, 15% stavrato.
Smells like sea jetty, your childhood best friend’s basement and the fresh plastic smell of opening up a brand new toy. Cherry compote, raspberry, hints of dark chocolate, and limestone.
Don’t think too much. The gods of Olympus and millennia are on your side. Just let it in & enjoy. — a month ago

Antichi Vinai ‘Petra Lava’ Etna Rosso 2012: Medium-bodied. Medium acidity. Subtle tannins. Gorgeous deep red/coffee color with complex aromas. Intense ripe red fruits, followed by blackberry, plum, explosive minerality, smoke & earth. Off-dry finish. Consisting of the Sicilian native grapes Nerello Mascalese & Nerello Cappuccino, this red wine was such an elegant harmonious blend. I loved every sip from start to finish; bummer it was only a 375ml bottle! For me, it truly was a great reflection of the local terroir. Strongly recommend. Have a great day! Cheers🍷 — 4 months ago
Well balanced wine. A little complex but very drinkable now. Good blend of berry and tobacco notes. One of the most drinkable wines I’ve had in a while… Great value for the price !! — 2 months ago
