Light start but thick on the tongue. Tangy-ness — 4 years ago
Super super dry and amazing. Total river rock city at the beginning but with the wonderful little waxy ness later on. Reminds me of clynelish scotch a tiny bit which is a great thing. Highly recommended — 5 years ago
In a good spot right now. Black and blue fruit but with a very pretty floral lift. Just a trace of green-ness, graphite and the tiniest bit of bitterness on the finish. — 5 years ago
$33 or so. Allright but not great like all the other Beauj I have had around that price point. Maybe paying $40 really is worth it as this producers vielles morgon is awesome and quite feminine.
Red cherry fruit. Maybe sour cherry not heavy. A pretty lightness with it not as concentrated as some other Beauj but that’s ok. Liking this more with more air. There’s this really interesting alsmot graphite note on the finish that’s pretty cool. Perhaps also a bit of earthy ness on the finish. Just a bit. Thevenet continues to make excellent wine and we are going to have to check more of it out. But at this price is it worth it to go up to the vielle vignes? Probably but this isn’t bad. This does way best out the le boujolais from lapierre for me though. There is more going on. Will have to revisit — 3 years ago
Nose is sort of a tropical fruit compote. Pungent but elegant.
Palate is delicious ripe fruit. Wow. Would not guess Loire. Almost hubackery. Juicy. So succulent. Sleek lovely sexy texture.
As this opens you get that cheniny ness.
Not sure if this vintage is at all representative.
Huge juiciness on the finish.

Nice balance of precision and wild-ness. — 3 years ago
This was my first experience with Bollinger, and it did not disappoint. There were flavors of pear a little bit of Apple and a kind of toasty-ness. I don’t have a lot of experience with fine champagnes. But it seemed like the flavors here were more delicate and nuanced and kind of layered I guess you might say. This was a great start to our Thanksgiving dinner. As my dad said, “now that’s the way to start a party”. $50 at Costco was a decent deal and it came in a nice gift box. — 4 years ago

Very nice. For some reason I always find myself enjoying wines from “Corcelette” and this is no exception. Decanted for 2 hours which helped balance things a bit, though to be honest this felt pretty ready to go from the jump. Great balance of fruit, florals, earthy savory ness, and acid, with a finish that really lingers. Nice wine. — 4 months ago
