From the hotel minibar. Very NZ Sauvignon Blanc. Grassy, lemon, racy acidity and a little herbal/floral at the end. I haven’t had this style in a while, and I’m really enjoying it after a successful day out in Mile End.

When presented with a less than inspiring wine selection down the shore, I go with an old reliable. Grassy, citrusy (lime! Grapefruit!), passion fruit, white pepper, refreshing and reliable. Don’t mind pouring half the bottle into my brown butter caper sauce, but also enjoy a couple of cold glasses while cooking like the basic b I am.
