Nice priorat. Body a bit short though. — 6 months ago
Bright acidity (med-high), some deep red and purple fruit notes, cassis/currant. Aromatic and medium tannins, smooth yet slightly grippy. Not the longest finish and body is quite light. Almost floral. Drinks like an excited young kid version of a barolo, like an even lighter babaresco. — 6 months ago
An incredible, complex, bodied white. — 6 months ago
A barbera that comes across like a light barolo! Light but very grippy tannins, light-medium body. Med+ acidity, hints of wet forest floor funk, lots of early onset black fruits and punchy red fruits later. Tail falls off a bit pretty quick but otherwise nice drinking. — 6 months ago
Took about 1.5 hours to decant, but what a beautiful wine. Incredibly supple Left Bank, smooth but grippy tannins, really nice mouthfeel. Long body. Leathery and peppery dark fruit notes in the body with bright acidity up front. — 7 months ago
A solid 2019 vino nobile. Fragrant, dark pepper notes and woodiness more than red fruits. Soft but grippy tannins, med+. — 2 months ago
Yet another ripasso. Vibrant and bright on the palate, med-high acidity, bright red fruits - tart cherries, loads of it. Some herbacious funk (cinnamon and anise) towards the end of the Softer body than other ripassos with med-low tannins, mellows out gently without falling off a cliff, but also not particularly long-bodied. Definitely a much more elegant ripasso than a lot of the others I've had. — 5 months ago
Never had an oak barrel fermented assyrtiko blend before. Nice rich creaminess and vanilla notes without being bombastic on the oak like some oaked chardonnays. Typical bright acidity and stone fruit/citrus notes - hints of peach, nectarine, lime - balanced with a good amount of minerality and bit of savory notes. Has the body and length of finish of a light-medium red. Was expecting more breadiness from lees but no complaints otherwise — 7 months ago
Ben Tang
Very drinkable and nicely-aged Etna rosso. Nice bright and refreshing acidity (med+ to med-high), light bodied, low tannins. Fresh red fruit on the tip of the tongue followed by forest floor and leather/rubber, some minerality. — 2 months ago
