Dark cherry red with a bit transparent aged color edge. Chocolate nuance. Oak, leather. Vanilla. Spices. Earthy. Black berry and cherry. Prone. Tabacco. With elegancy. Dry. Lots of Tannin. Spicy. Slight sweet. Need to decant it for hours or keep it for more years. It should be 9.0. 13 @900, TPAP, 241001-2401002 — 16 days ago
Выпито 14.10.24 на балконе нашего Symbol с соседями Русланом и Валентиной. Достойнейший Ponerol 2002 года( Мерло -88%, Каберне фран - 12%) — 3 days ago
Had a dose of Brett that I found distracting in this wine (I don’t always find it so, but here it obscured too much). Would have loved to taste without that flaw. Even so, still very good. — 6 months ago
Decanted for 3 hours before returning to the bottle prior to dinner. The 2008 pours a deep garnet color a with near opaque; medium+ with moderate staining and some signs of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of dark plums, purple flowers, some green bell pepper, tobacco, graphite, leather, mint, and soft baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannins that are mostly integrated and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A classy, perfectly matured Pomerol that was a lovely pairing with a Tomahawk ribeye. Drink now through 2033. Thanks Andy! — a month ago
It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Deep ruby in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing age at all.
Beautiful nose of black plums, black cherries, black currants, cedar, light vanilla, eucalyptus, tobacco, spices, black pepper, herbs and light cola.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, light vanilla, herbs, tobacco, Indian spices, black pepper and light pencil lead.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This 15 year old is drinking beautifully right out of the bottle. Elegant and fruit forward. Nicely balanced and soft.
Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 10 years.
So enjoyable by itself. Smooth and delicate. Rich, but not 'in your face' kind of wine. A gorgeous wine.
Thank you Scott for sharing this with me.

I paired it with grilled Lamb Loin Chops.
A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Vintage 2009 | This is a Pomerol with a certain strictness. We tasted it blind next to a left bank wine but the tasters did not recognize this as a right bank wine. It seems to be made for the long haul, with clear tannines even after 15 years. Good integrated wood with a light vanilla impression. — a month ago

A beautiful wine in every way! Garnet in color, with medium (+) intensity of aromas and flavors including potpourri, fig, plum sauce, cassis, violet, licorice, pencil shavings, cedar, clove, anise, leather, sweet tobacco, bell pepper, cardamom, forest floor… medium acidity, medium (+) tannins that are soft and fine-grained, medium alcohol and a long elegant finish. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 — 5 days ago
