Another awesome 2nd label!! Excellent QPR at £40!
1hr plus decant and needed more. Dark red color. Dark cherry, wood, and a little licorice on the nose. Wine was initially lacking fruit and was biting, but eventually leveled out into an enjoyable texture with lovely cherry and earth tones. Medium finish. I’ve had the first label and this isn’t far behind granted it’s an awesome vintage! — 22 days ago
It took a couple of years for this to come into its own but this year has hit its stride. Juicy, bright, and complex on the front end but lacks depth and finish. Better as an accompaniment for charcuterie than on its own. — a day ago
Classic pomerol nose. Earthy, chocolate, liquorice, leather, plum, mineral. Just missing some floral component. So vegetal n herb component on the nose. The palate is smooth and silky but with a core bitterness which indicate it might need some decanting — 42 minutes ago
👌 With red wine braised short ribs. Tabaccy & tea! — 2 days ago
A solid bourdeax - not extremely exciting, but well rounded and nice to drink. — 19 days ago
