Kopke

30 Year Old Tawny Porto

Not nearly as wordy as the 30 year tawny from some other houses. Kopke has pronounced flavors of dried fig, dried apple, dried orange peel, caramel, praline, pecan, and walnut. High acidity very well balanced with the rich fruit and sweetness. Very long finish. Outstanding. — 8 days ago

Pronounced nose and palate. Fig, candied orange peel, roasted walnuts, toffee, sultana, leather, overripe pineapple, leather. Layers upon layers. Outstanding. — 7 months ago

20 Years Old Tawny Aged in Wood

Very good! Similar to my favorite port - Kopke. Caramel in color and flavor, but has more alcohol and is less refined. Definitely packs a punch, but love the overall approach and style. — 2 years ago

Colheita Porto Port Blend 2011

Always awesome! Drank over the last year. I think these need like 30+ years of age for prime drinking. The ‘78 is still the best vintage I had by far. — 19 days ago

20 Year Old Porto

Really excellent 20 year tawny from kopke. Have port so rarely, but it’s always appreciated. Not the most depth or intensity, but still absolutely delicious and a great pairing with dessert. — 3 months ago

Sweet with noticeable spirit influence. Maybe decanting would help. Good not great. I was a bit disappointed! — 3 years ago
