Quintessenz Kalterersee Classico Superiore Schiava 2017

Light, transparent ruby. No shortage of funk on the nose - lots of manure, mushrooms, and dried herb with little to no fruit. Medium, but gritty, tannins and less acid than I was expecting. In the mouth the earthiness continues with dark, stewed fruit - lots of plums. This smells better than it taste, but was different and enjoyable for pizza night. — 2 months ago

Campaner Alto Adige Schiava

One of the best Schiava’s I’ve had in a while. Schiava is often victim to its proclivity towards abundance, and is often thin and vegetal as a result. This one isn’t. It’s got nice strawberry fruit, spice, good balance, and body. — 3 years ago

Pinot GrisL'ora La Brezza Fresca

Oh man. Amazing color for this #pinotgris. Full bodied and isn't very sweet. Excellent choice. There is some acidity, but matches a lot with the idea of the wine. Super "juicy" and easy to drink. — 3 months ago

Castel Giovanelli Alto Adige - Südtirol Chardonnay 2013

Couldn't of found of a better way to start a trip to Milano. We found a lovely wine shop with views over the Duomo where the sommelier recommended this beautiful Sauvignon Blanc. It paired fantastically with the parma, prosciutto and various other selections of hams that the Italians love. I could certainly get used to the Milanese lifestyle :) this deserves a 10! — 3 years ago
