Coppery golden brown; caramel dried citrus zest, dried figs, raisins, toasted nuts; palate reminiscent of toasted hazelnuts, cigars, old leather and bright citrus. Medium acidic backbone carries the wine. M+ length. Beautiful with 70% dark chocolate brownie after a Thanksgiving dinner. — 8 days ago
Fragrant berry scone
Big bodied wine, with syrupy like boysenberry, some mint, a sprinkle of red pepper and a JP labs type of heat on the back end. A very powerfully Zin that can stand up to anything. Pound for pound of fruit, indeed.

Always a pleasure to taste the wines of JP Brun. This purple-colored Moulin-à-Vent delivers magnificent airy notes of undergrowth, ash, accompanied by a floral burst of dry roses / peonies; Morello cherry, blackberries. The mouth is very fine. silky tannins testify to a great mastery of winemaking. 2017 vintage begins to « pinote » wonderfully and will win again with a few years in the cellar (for those who enjoy Burdundy style). Reference!
— 5 months ago

If you stick around long enough and pester the right people, great things happen. Finding pristine bottles of mythic Cameron vintages is in and of itself very rewarding but having the juice match expectations is a whole other level of bliss. God bless you JP, you did it again. — 3 months ago
Now this is more like it. Powerful malmsey with a grip and complexity that recall the finest madeiras we’ve tasted. Rim gradation with a hint of green around the edge. Burnt sugar, citrus rind, caramel. The wine blossoms on the palate, oxidative notes show themselves before the rapier of acid drives home the finish, like a toreador’s sword. Fabulous. — 5 months ago
