Titus

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

A nice $45 dollar wine that goes great with some 🍕 and doesn’t break the bank when you enjoy a bottle with your husband every night. 😉 — 20 hours ago

Single Vineyard Series Big Break Vineyard Small Berry Mourvedre 2015

Explosive eucalyptus aroma, softer black fruit several layers below that, some violets, earthy fruit palate, dark coffee bitterness, solid foundation of acidity, tongue-hugging bold tannins and a finish that’s miles long. Bought this #mourvedre onsite at the vineyard around Thanksgiving 2019. It’s a boutique production from a vineyard site where the grape vines are growing near a large stand of ubiquitous Blue Gum Eucalyptus trees. This might be love it or hate it but it’s damn interesting. It was my wife’s birthday and we’d be waiting for the occasion to open it as we both loved it. I imagine a great pairing might be clove-studded lamb to pick up the menthol notes but we had it with pizza and it still held up well to the bold flavors of our various toppings. Fantastic. — 2 months ago

Fratelli Alessandria

Monvigliero Barolo Nebbiolo 2013

Five hours in the decanter to “break on through”. Plenty of acid, tannins—crystal ball says long life ahead of these. Good fruit, eucalyptus notes, slate, cedar. Tannic finish with a hint of heat. Lovely, but definitely resist the urge for another ten years. Enjoyed as birthday wine with chicken liver ragù. — 9 days ago

Cloud Break Wines

California Chardonnay 2018

Color of bubbly light gold. Nose is a trio of roasted nuts, mineral, and ripe tropical fruits, like mangoes, and a bit oaky note. Nose is nice. Taste shows good long lasting acidity, citrusy, oak, a bit salty mineral. Quite light as the fruits notes are not pronounced. Aftertaste of good quality acidity and some more mineral. — a month ago

Damàn Extra Dry Prosecco

Break it Down: Apples class. This Prosecco definitely had an apple cidery nose and palate, but super light and not sweet. A delightful glass of bubbles! — a month ago

Barrel Reserve California Pinot Noir 2018

Color of ruby, clear. Nose of fresh cranberry, milky vanilla, licorice, spice, some strawberry ice cream, tangerine, and sweet sensation. Taste of spice and zest, some backbone tannins, sweetness, and fresh grapes. Aftertaste of some more warmth in the throat. Easy to drink. A bit sweet for me. On par. — 2 months ago

Sine Qua Non

The Gorgeous Victim Grenache 2017

Couldn’t wait to break open from the cellar a few years early. Color - dark purple and red hues. Blueberry cherry, perfume and a stewed meat funk burst on the nose lingering with scents of leather, mint and chocolate. A big bold and smooth taste leaving a strong impression and wanting more. As it sits on the pallet the rich and creamy flavors come forward tasting of black cherry and chocolate-vanilla. A long finish of tar, hints of grapefruit, cinnamon and tannins still very much present. A beautiful wine that could age another 10 year, but will definitely try again in a few years! — 6 days ago

Dreaming in Neon

Loving my BBB (Backyard Beer Break) with this excitingly fun Electric Isle Kettle Sour Ale! It’s tart, fruity & refreshing. Big raspberry, passion fruit & lime flavors. It was my first experience with this local beer (courtesy of my 3 year old’s play date‘s parents) but definitely not my last! Cheers 🍻 — a month ago
