Cantina Giardino

Re Vino Rosso Red Blend

So different. Ash and olive really come through on this vintage. Striking when it first hits the tongue, lingers a bit but mellows nicely as you drink. — 21 days ago

Greco di Tufo Greco Bianco

I just love these wines! This one is 100% Greco from Italy. Very crisp and citrusy, will pair perfectly with muffuletta on crostini before dinner. It’s so hot and humid here right now this is going to be so refreshing! Happy Father’s Day weekend to all you dads out there! — 6 days ago

Terra d'Uva Greco di Tufo 1860

We enjoyed this lovely dry white wine. Light golden colour with good minerality and acidity. For a dry white wine it offers many interesting flavors. — 9 days ago

L'aura Irpinia Rosé Blend

Calafe l’aura irpinia rose.

Nose is lovely. Grapefruit flower. White flowers. As this opens amazing density. Truly piercing.

Palate is such juicy fruit. Some grapefruit. Strawberry. But blended so not sweet and not bitter. Elite deliciousness. None of that metallic rose crap. Good acidity but not too much. Not super complex. You do get some floral internal aromatics though. This could be more complex with age.

Juicy finish.

Fiano di Avellino 2019

Lovely bouquet of lemon zest and orange blossom with hints of cedar, creek pebbles, and white pepper. On the palate lemon candy, white peach, and grapefruit pith with fresh ginger and white pepper spice lingering on a medium length finish. Zippy, fun, approachable white wine with a bit of zing. Great value from southern Italy. Went perfect with my pineapple jackfruit Buddha bowl with teriyaki sauce. — 13 days ago

Nova Serra Greco di Tufo 2019

Nose is full of gravel, wet stone, spices and pear. On palate this marries nicely with rich fruit and acidity keeping the palate firm and fresh. Green apples, mineral veins and hint of white pepper. This is one excellent white wine for grilled fish. Great qpr — 15 days ago

Cantina Giardino

Paski Campania Bianco Coda di Volpe 2020

Perhaps the best Coda di Volpe i've ever had
60yo vines, 4 days maceration and 30% of the mass fermented in chestnut barriques; after that 12 months in stainless steel.
Wine that truly is alive
It feels like still fermenting(but it's not)
It makes me picture kimchi, ginger and daikon
It has this tingling fruit and a mineral tension
Background of honey and gunpowder plus a decoration of spring flowers
It goes without saying how highly i consider Cantina Giardino, the barrels they use are all crafted by a local artisan with local woods among chestnuts(like in this case), cherry, figs or others that might slip out of my mind at present.
This is a wine made of beauty with no make up.
It's long and refreshing and super enjoyable.

Riserva Taurasi Red Blend 2008

Juicy, exotic. Tamarind, mint and clay. So supple and filled with transparent purple red fruit. Great minerals. Beautiful bottle. This is what Aglianico should be! — 6 days ago

Vigna Cinque Querce Taurasi Aglianico 2010

My first Aglianico and I’m impressed! The wine has a great flavor profile with bold and rich notes while the tannins are just right. Black cherry, plum, big spice notes, mushroom, and leather. — 2 days ago
