Pulverized stony perfume. Lemon. So complex. Spice bazaar. A hint of underarm funk. Which is good. So elegant. So juicy and complex. Salty. Wonderful. — 10 months ago

Niersteiner Paterberg Kabinett Riesling 2018

Who would have thought I like a sweet white wine....not me. But I did! Described as semi-dry. Had very much a sweet edge. But than it turned smoky, earthy, minerally. Evolving depth and complexity. Awesome! — 3 years ago

Berg Roseneck Riesling 2017

Late release after prolonged bottle aging at the producers cellar.
Nicely evolved and very elegant! not too loud with ripe lemons & shy peach. A touch waxy.
On the palate this is rounder & fuller, nice creamy palate but also the juicy, mineral acidity of Rheingau. So elegant, evolved yet with amazing freshness! Wowza! This is just stunning!!

Montosa Charta Riesling 1997

At first, wet grass, hay, pear, apricot and dried apricot, some petrol and mushroom notes... this is still very fresh, and has a beautiful touch of residual sugar that balances the still bright acidity. Washes over your mouth with secondary flavors of dried fruits and a long finish.

Above notes were before decanting... after an hour this is presenting a whole new fruit and floral perfume- unbelievably high-toned- like smelling perfume on a wrist. Blossoms above a deep muskiness. Magic!
