Bright purple dress. Open and fine nose on fruit, well ripe black cherry and spices. Fine, supple and concentrated mouth. Very nice balance, Pinot-black gamay blend, which makes slightly refreshed.
— 13 days ago
Superb cherry nose, with hay and an earthy thing. Very appealing. The palate is delicious, very juicy. Superb cherry note, a good width, a very strong acid backbone and a nervous, vivid mouthfeel. Some gentle tannins appear in the rear before a long finish with fruit and a nice and clean bitter note that blooms in the end. This is definitely my kind of stuff! — 2 days ago
PN Gamay Blend #1: A nice biodynamic juice that honours the pinot noir, (by bringing a classy mouth) and the gamay, generous and flowery. The dress is dark but translucent. Open nose, very fruity. In the mouth the material is velvety, combining freshness and roundness, in a balance that makes this wine remarkable in its price range. Nice entry cuvée by an interesting domain of Loire region.
— 13 days ago
Crushed peak season strawberries, rhubarb, sour cherries, pink peppercorn, violets, hibiscus, chalk. Incredibly drinkable, crushable, smashable. This wine makes me feel cool. I want to get drunk off of this wine - will always buy a bottle whenever I see one. — 2 days ago
Part 2 of Columbia County wknd: closed Beaujo, quite refined but this needs a good decant or some time. Black cherries, a plum- ier note. Rather compact body & closed on the nose. Still, nicely accompanied Grilled steelhead trout on cedar planks. I suspect this is one Morgon that needs nurturing. Never had this producer before, to the amazement of the wine store guy. — 21 hours ago
Sour cherry, leather, hay. Very nice nose, very engaging and inviting. The palate is well made with a good acid drive, a nice bright sour cherry note, it's rather thin than broad, a bit of tannins in the rear, leaving a layer of gentle disruption over a long and bright cherry finish. It's a very good Beaujolais in a subtle, precise style. — 8 days ago
I just love Fleurie wines – they’re gulpably delicious and versatile. Here we have a delightfully-perfumed and bright representation with Anne-Sophie DuBois, Les Cocottes, 2019, ABV 12.5%. 💕👏🍷
This wine is made with Gamay grapes and hails from the Beaujolais Cru appellation of Fleurie. 🇫🇷 The grapes used to produce this wine were farmed organically and grown on the famous pink granite slopes of this region, with a beneficial south-southwest orientation towards the sun ☀️, offering good exposure throughout the growing season, aiding in the ripening process.
This wine was vinified using the whole grape clusters 🍇 and was subject to ‘carbonic maceration’, where fermentation begins initially within the confines of the intact grapes under a blanket of carbon dioxide. This process is known to highlight the purity of fruit characteristics along with customary notes of bubblegum, cinnamon, banana, kirsch, among other expected characteristics.
👁 It’s medium purple with a delicate haze. 👃 On the nose it is light and perfumed with youthful notes of cherry blossom alongside cherry preserves, wild strawberry, kirsch, banana, nutmeg, balanced with mineral notes like wet slate. 👄 On the palate this wine is dry, it has a brighter, tarter flavor profile, with vibrant acidity, a light body, medium alcohol, light tannins, and good fruit concentration. It has a medium finish. 😍😍😍
We’re pairing this wine with tarragon chicken and caprese. 👌👌👌👌

The nondescript "N" in the bottom corner of the back label means this is the hard to find Sans Soufre version of Lapierre's Morgon. I believe 2021 was first time it's touched Texas soil. It's the more alive version. The wilder, riskier, more outspoken version. It's chatty and conversational, less raw and abrasive. Texture too - a big boy with loaded concentration and high velocity acid. Perfumed cherry raspberry, rose petal, forest earth, pine, and clove. — an hour ago
Nose has strawberry, red apple slice, red currant bunch, ripe cherry and dry earth.
Palate has cherry, raspberry, orange pith, red apple peel, light green herbs with a light tannic grip.
What a color! Nice wine, plenty of fruit to please most palates, decent finish; fun blend of grapes!
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. For Opening Night our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading an all BEETHOVEN program (Overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, Piano Concerto No. 5 (Emperor) and Symphony No. 5) with one of our local treasures, Emanuel (Manny!) Ax on piano.
It's been a long time coming to get on the best manicured lawn in the Berkshires, 2020 saw a full withdrawal of the in-person season because of the pandemic. Now we're back with a very abbreviated season, limited capacity grounds and shed; we've returned, all celebrating the greatest orchestra in the world! — 15 days ago
