Flora Beneventano Falanghina 2021

So consistently good. Pineapple, baked apricot and golden raisin. Medium to full with stern acidity. I’ve found this wine is best at 3-5 years with a decant. So unique and original. Love the packaging. — a month ago

Ravines Wine Cellars

White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling

Really like this, musky, tropical fruit notes in the very strong finish. One of my faves from our finger lakes wine trip! — 6 days ago

Schramsberg Vineyards

Crémant Demi-Sec Flora Blend 2019

Popped and poured. This was a huge surprise. The bubbles are tiny, almost non-existent. The fruit is round and quite delicious and yet it’s the acid that should get all the praise here because it does a remarkable job of balancing out the 42g/L RS. About as balanced and enjoyable as Demi-Sec as I can recall. — a month ago

Floral and rich redfruit aromas and flavors, very youthful still, nice structure, excellent depth, need 5-10 more years based on this bottle, wow!! — a month ago

Ridge Vineyards

Lytton Springs Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Blend 2005

I had seen this bottle on the wine list (for only around €75) for a while but been worried it might be past its peak. But there is nothing to be afraid of here. Just an excellent example of how well quality old vine Californian Zin-blends can age in the skilful hands of the team at Ridge. Large ripe berries, spice, orange peel, dark chocolate, liquorice and charcuteries. Flavourful, expressive and balanced. Very enjoyable. — 2 months ago
