Absolutely stunning. In a perfect spot. Light in color. Tinge brown. Dark berry driven nose. Pinot fruit/Tart prune plums. Hint orange juice. Touch herbs oregano/thyme. Tannins left would allow this to go for another 2-4 years? Less acidity compared to the 2013 Buntsandstein. I hate to use the word but this is so smooth! And juicy. — 5 months ago

My first stab at 1/2 of the dynamic duo’s effort. Tiny berry intensity & dark cherries on nose; on palate more of that intensity & small berry thing- the fruit is quite lush & generous, with an elegant & serious tannin frame demanding some time & air. A brooding quality smashes into Monty Python? Which is to say decanting moves the whole show in the right direction, & I found my self marveling at the QPR as the wine deepened & softened. I want to say there is some odd humor in the labels portrait of the vintner, given the semi stoic painting & from what I might infer to be a less mannered & more of a wild man character, but what do I know? It’s a fascinating tip of the wine hat, so to speak. — a month ago
39$. Besides Enderle & Molls Pinot based Rosé for less $$$ - this is one of the best on the the planet. But 39$. Yet worth it. Dense, dark, almost like a Pinot, tannic, Rasberries, Strawberries, Cherry, Melon, Basil comes to mind???? may be. The 2023 is very very fruit driven - what a wine. From Max Kogod. He is a little more expensive but has unique stuff. — a month ago

Nose: incredibly dense. Cherry. Spice. Dark lilacs. Quite penetrating. Alluring is the word. Hints of pink roses.
Palate: dense cherries. Cherry spice. Maybe a hint of cherry y cough syrup. Savory. Some elegant richness. Maybe a mere hint of stem. As this opens silky texture.
Some dark cherry licorice on the finish.
A bit tight. Better in 2 years or with a decant.
12.5%. Hard to believe is. — a day ago
