Smooth and creamy - so lovely. — a month ago
Big QPR #sancerre - while less layered than fancier examples from the AOC, still that fine balance between crispness and more richness than you expect from #sauvignonblanc - I can envision this with a not-spicy crab fried rice. — 2 months ago
A dark inky crimson in appearance. Nose a little muted initially - needed vigorous swirling even after decanting. On the palate rich black fruits from a ripe vintage - a touch of liquorice. Tasted blind my wife thought it was Australian. A full bodied Grenache based Red 70% (vines over 60 years old) 15% Syrah and 15% Mourvèdre. Finishing with slightly tarry granular tannins. An excellent dry red in a rustic style. 14.5% ABV. Leave the last one for a few years. — 21 days ago
Uncomplicated joy in a bottle! Dark fruits, super light body an lactic notes like fresh yoghurt. A refreshing finish to a day of good work ... or an deserved ending to bad day ;-) — 25 days ago
The 2001 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is consistent with the bottle tasted in 2018. It leaps from the glass with red fruit, orange blossom and Earl Grey, sprightly though not intense. It is imbued with Christophe Roumier's unerring sense of transparency. The palate is precise and focused, sculpted with the finest chisel in the box, long and tender with exuberant Pinoté on the finish. Just delicious. Tasted at the La Paulée in Beaune. 2018: Young but lots of inky purple fruit with good concentration. Tannins are well-integrated for such a young wine but will need time to become more than just fruit. Some mineral backing gives some hope for some more funky Rotie flavors but will take some years. $56? At VR. — 18 days ago
Wonderful energy with saline minerality against a strong backbone of acidity that eventually opens up to stone fruit and a hint of smoke. Good stuff. — 2 months ago

Roumier particularly crushed ‘17. Even the Bussiere which is a bottling that IMO takes forever to be drinkable opens up so quick in the decanter gaining most notably in density and texture after a somewhat thin first pour. It’s bright, vibrant and pure with layers of black and blue fruit, dark cocoa, spices and earthy soil tones. The palate is seamlessly balanced, deep and expansive with fine grained tannins and a long, lifted and elegant finale. A fantastic vintage for this bottling that is already in a great spot but with of course, its best years ahead. — 5 days ago
