Even as an eight year old, this classic CDP is still very dark (almost black) in color. Beautiful aromas of red and black berries and currants, and lavender. Hints of earthy herbs and spices. The pallet is full of black berry/raspberry fruit, black licorice, grilled mushroom and cooked meat. Touch of black pepper spice on the finish. Tannins are there but they are extremely soft. Rich and elegant. Another fabulous vintage of this consistent classic. Thank you so much, Kasey and Petey! — 21 hours ago
Bright gold! Very shy nose of briny baked apple. Medium full palate of baked apple, lime (the fruit), lime (the rock), caramel, and a hint of balsam. Lengthy finish extends the palate. Complexity and finesse are the key words for this rich yet food-friendly Meursault. With the weight to support hearty meats and a fine backbone of acidity that's a match for shellfish and other mid weight seafood, this is a must have for any high-end dinner table. Drink now through 2028. — 17 days ago
Pale lemon in color. Medium light intensity nose of lemon and white peach. Medium intensity palate notes of lemon, pear nectar, white peach, quince, and white pepper. A medium bodied, salty, sipper with medium alcohol and high acid. — 7 days ago
Subtle with some wet stones, minty herbs, a shy hint of orchard apple. A whiff of mushrooms undergrowth. Quite cool and with nice energy.
Nice mouthfeel with juicy, vibrant acidity, a mineral, salty, energetic backbone and almost a hint of tannin.
Savoury, herby, juicy, fresh. Excellent with some appetizers, so food friendly.
Light be a bit austere for sipping alone, delicious nonetheless! — 17 days ago
