Took an hour to open after pop and pour. On the nose: candied cherry, soft game to maybe some funk, spice and perfume, a suggestion lf herbs...the scents just dance around. On the palate: fantastic acidity, wild strawberry, candied cherry, soft at first, but density builds to a dense cherry, slowly transforming to pixelated tannins. Ethereal...even on Day 2 open. — 13 days ago
Violets, cherry cola, earth, mushroom, pretty floral notes and great acid. — 17 days ago
So good. What a nose. Sopping red cherries, ripe and minty and so deep. Spice, minty foresty earth. Some paprika. So good. So unique. So Morel. Palate is ripe, juicy and loaded to the gills with sweet cherry fruit against a firm mineral background but seriously stacked with fruit. Balanced and pure. Rustic tannins, crunchy and sappy. Juicy. As Jeru the Damaja says, “Rough and rugged, shine like a gold nugget.” — a month ago
Nose is lovely. Dusty red cherries, licorice and cherry flower as well. Lovely earth and wet stones. Cooling black cherries as well with some air. Juicy and concentrated with awesome purity and freshness. So balanced with lovely elegance. Long finish and great sap. Some bramble as well on the nose after some air. Terrific intensity. Really showing well. — 11 days ago
