Laguna Pinot Noir 2017

This wine is starting to hit my sweet spot for Sonoma County Pinots (5-8 years). Wonderful aromatics. Decanted about 30 minutes. This wine is well balanced and offers really nice acidity. Underrated producer IMO. Parents gave this 2 thumbs up. — 2 months ago

Cherry Camp Syrah 2017

Beautiful Sonoma Coast Syrah. Won’t ever be confused with an Old World Syrah but no less enjoyable. — 3 months ago

Louise Vineyard Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir 2006

Rob N

I enjoyed this pinot, as I enjoy many from Cristom (in the Peay/Radio-Coteau family for me). It didn’t taste “old”, as it still had some fruit, but it was smooth and subtle. Would drink again. $45. — 4 months ago

La Neblina Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2017

I always enjoy Radio Coteau and this one is another winner. Ripe dark fruit, licorice, and cola on the pallet. Really nice acidity that gives it a certain freshness. Has the stuff to age a few years, but is drinking nicely now. A quick decant and this is singing. — a month ago

La Pointe du Coteau Gamay 2017

Loire gamay - Ruby/violin color, unfiltered. Oaky dominant, notes of farms, associated with varietal notes of cherries, pomegranate slightly set back. Wait another two years for the whole to melt.

Couleur rubis/violine non filtré. Notes dominantes boisées d’élevages, associés au notes variétales griottes, grenade légèrement en retrait. Attendre encore deux ans que l’ensemble se fonde.

Château Le Coteau

Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2018 vintage. One of those rare Margaux estates that has not been absorbed by Crus Classés. A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Owner Eric Léglise did a great job here, a textbook refined Margaux. Cassis, flowers and cedar wood. Ripe black fruit and a little of the heat of the vintage, all balanced by mouthwatering acidity. Interestingly the vineyards are covered with flowers in an attempt to promote biodiversity. Living near, I believe I should visit this estate soon. Highly recommended. Abv. 14%. — 4 months ago

Las Colinas Sonoma Coast Syrah 2007

Quite a whiff of American oak at first but it largely blew off. Lush and supple, dark berry jam, mesquite, eucalyptus. Very drinkable but not sure this is more interesting now vs 10 years ago — 2 months ago

Lemorel Sonoma Coast Zinfandel 2016

Another one from tonight. Not a jammy Zin. Classic old style. Really nice acidity. Radio Coteau is an underrated producer IMO. — 3 months ago
