Nose has huge blackberry and granite. Some leather and a hint of brett that gets well integrated with air. Dark flowers and some huge herbals and well. Very complex but still primary. Nose is ripe, exotic and also restrained. Vanilla extract, pineapple, mango and guava. Pink and white flowers and stunningly accurate granite. So well integrated. Palate is so good. Great harmony, complexity and freshness. Really nice acids and a huge granite impression. Very pure and elegant. Tropical flavors on the palate echo the nose but are very restrained. The 2019 God Only Knows Grenache from wizard winemaker Christophe Baron is a radiating beauty. Pale ruby-colored, it displays fragrant aromas of violets, blood orange, exotic spices, raspberry liqueur, ripe cranberry, forest strawberry and crushed rocks. Medium bodied and layered, the ever-so-silky tannins and balancing acids contribute to a seamless mouthfeel so characteristic of Barons wines.
